Zirconia ceramic plunger pump is a high-precision liquid conveying equipment widely used in various fields such as chemical, petroleum, and pharmaceutical industries. The working principle is based on the reciprocating motion of the plunger in the pump cylinder. The following is a detailed description of the working process of the zirconia ceramic plunger pump:

1. Inhalation stroke (oil intake process)

When the pump starts running, the plunger moves downward under the action of spring force or other driving force. This downward movement creates a negative pressure zone in the pump chamber above the plunger. Due to the pressure difference between the pump oil chamber and the reservoir, liquid is drawn into the pump oil chamber. This process continues until the plunger reaches the bottom dead center, at which point the oil intake ends.

2. Compression stroke (oil return process)

As the plunger continues to move, it begins to move upwards, compressing the liquid in the pump chamber. When the plunger reaches a certain position, the inclined groove (stop supply edge) on the plunger communicates with the return hole on the sleeve, and the low-pressure oil circuit in the pump chamber communicates with the middle hole, radial hole, and inclined groove on the plunger head, causing a sudden drop in oil pressure. The oil outlet valve quickly closes under the action of spring force, stopping the oil supply. Subsequently, the plunger rotates past the convex part of the cam and descends again under the action of the spring, starting the next cycle.

3. The function of one-way valve

In the design of a plunger pump, there are two one-way valves with opposite directions. When the plunger moves in one direction, negative pressure is generated in the pump chamber, a one-way valve opens, and the liquid is sucked into the cylinder. When the plunger moves in another direction, the liquid is compressed and another one-way valve opens, and the liquid sucked into the cylinder is discharged. This continuous movement forms a continuous fuel supply.

4. Characteristics of zirconia ceramics

The advantages of zirconia ceramic plunger pumps lie in the high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance of their materials. These characteristics make the pump have a longer service life and higher reliability when dealing with corrosive media and high-temperature liquids.

5. Variable mechanism

In a variable axial piston pump, the variable mechanism is used to change the inclination angle of the inclined plate, thereby adjusting the pump's displacement. This adjustment can be manual, servo control, or pressure compensation, among other methods.

In summary, zirconia ceramic plunger pumps achieve liquid suction and discharge through the reciprocating motion of the plunger, and their precise control and efficient conveying capacity make them indispensable equipment in the chemical and petroleum industries. The application of zirconia ceramic materials further enhances the performance and durability of pumps.
